A Program Built For Results

Our Program Timeline

Texas Flight Airline Academy’s program is built as a full-time, immersive training pipeline. Students progress through 9 structured stages, each designed to mirror airline training methodology while exceeding FAA minimums. By the end, you’ll have your CFI, CFII, and MEI with 300 hours Total Time and 50 hours of Multi-Engine, plus the skills and mindset airlines expect.

Stage 1: Initial Indoctrination (2 Weeks)

Learn the foundations first. We cover aerodynamics, regulations, aircraft systems, and airline training philosophies. You’ll master how to study, how to think like a professional pilot, and how to approach training the airline way from day one.

Stage 2: Private Pilot (2 Months)

Complete your Private Pilot Certificate with structured flight and ground instruction. Build solid flying fundamentals the right way the first time.

Stage 3: Instrument Pilot (2 Months)

Perfect instrument procedures, scenario flying, and Jeppesen charts, the same tools you’ll see in airline interviews and new-hire classes.

Stage 4: CRM, TEM & Scenario Training (2 Weeks)

Develop aeronautical decision-making, threat and error management, and crew resource management skills. You’ll train in realistic crew scenarios that build competence and confidence.

Stage 5: Crew Cross-Country Flying (2 Weeks)

Pair up with another student and conduct extended cross-country flights under varied weather and airport conditions. This builds the experience airlines value most.

Stage 6: Commercial Pilot (2 Weeks)

Earn your single-engine commercial certificate with a strong foundation for the next ratings.

Stage 7: Multi-Engine Commercial (3 Weeks)

Add your multi-engine commercial certificate while refining advanced systems and performance knowledge. Earn highly valued multi-engine flight time.

Stage 8: Instructor Ratings – CFI, CFII & MEI (2 + 1 + 1 Weeks)

Learn to teach. You’ll gain your initial CFI rating, then your CFII and MEI, with emphasis on the fundamentals of instruction, instrument teaching, and multi-engine training.

Stage 9: Career Pilot Capstone (1 Week)

Finish with an airline-readiness course covering résumé building, interview prep, career planning, and the professional mindset that sets our graduates apart.

Why This Timeline Works

Our program runs as a full-time immersion with integrated ground, flight, and simulator blocks. Students train 5–6 days per week in an airline-style schedule, giving them more hours, more multi-engine time, and far stronger preparation than traditional programs.

What Makes This Different

  • Airline-Style Training from Day One
From your first day, you’re immersed in the same training philosophy and methodologies used at the airlines. This means fewer “bad habits,” a smoother transition to new-hire training, and a much stronger foundation than traditional flight schools provide.

  • More Multi-Engine & Crew Cross-Country Than Anyone Else
We give you significantly more multi-engine flight time and long-range crew cross-country experience than other programs. This extra exposure builds confidence, decision-making, and logbook value that stands out to recruiters.

  • Mentorship by Actual Airline Pilots
You won’t just train under time-building instructors. You’ll be mentored by pilots who have flown and taught at the airlines, giving you insider knowledge on what recruiters look for and how to excel in new-hire training.

  • Built-In Career Prep & Interview Coaching
We don’t stop at ratings. Our program includes résumé building, mock interviews, and career counseling so you’re fully prepared to land the job, not just the certificate.

Industry-Leading Value

While the industry standard for professional pilot programs currently averages around $115,000, Texas Flight Airline Academy delivers far more flight time, multi-engine experience, and career preparation for just $98,575.
